ROADS FOR PROGRESS | 53IB INSPECTS BARANGAY FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) inspected the Barangay Matin-ao farm-to-market road (FMR) during its visit to Matin-ao Patrol Base in Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur on July 4, 2021.

FMRs, as initiatives of Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC), will translate to the delivery of basic and government services such as education, health, job opportunities, and medical and dental services to Barangay Matin-ao.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
