Motivating Men: 53IB Commander Checks Troops’ Morale, Bestows Certificates of Recognition

The Commanding Officer of Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera motivated the CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) of Karbala Patrol Base in Sitio Karbala, Barangay Paranglumba, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte on July 2, 2021.

The 53IB Commanding Officer bestowed Certificates of Recognition to twelve (12) CAAs for their loyalty and service rendered to the Filipino people.Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera also checked the progress of its “Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program.

“The ‘Better Life: Adopt a CAFGU Project is an initiative of 53IB to provide necessary assistance, knowledge, and structural pathway for its Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliary personnel for them to achieve personal and professional growth.

This activity is part of 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
