WARFIGHTING ENHANCEMENT | 53IB TRAINS FOR HARRIS RADIO
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) continues to link its units by conducting a training on Harris Handheld and Manpack Radios at 53IB Charlie “Colossus” Company Headquarters in Barangay Gasa, Lakewood on 04 July 2021.
The said Harris Radio Training forms part of the Sustained Warfighting Enhancement Evaluation Program (SWEEP), a program to enhance the warfighting capabilities of the Matapat Troopers.Facilitated by Signal NCO TSg. Alexander Arong, the training included Frequency Programming, Parts and Functions, and Corrective and Preventive Maintenance.
This training forms part of 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
