The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) attended the joint Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) meeting in Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur on July 2, 2021.
Among the topics discussed were Current Enemy Situation Update, ELCAC Projects, 53IB’s Peacebuilding Efforts, Community Engagements, Adopt-a-CAFGU Project, and Public Information efforts.
Other topics discussed by other government agencies were crime situation in the municipality, drug abuse efforts, illegal cockfighting, Safety Seal Implementation, and the number and status of cases and updates on covid-19 vaccination in the Municipality.
The meeting was participated by Representative of Mayor Soronio, Engr Rommel Bendicion; MLGOO/MPOC Head Secretariat Ms. Ethel Trobanos; OIC-MHO. Dr Janine Ann Pangandian; Midsalip Chief of Police P/Maj Juvic Aballe; and participants from BJMP, BFP, MENRO, MDRRMC and other government agencies.
This activity is part of 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
