IN PHOTOS | LGU, 53IB Opens 5th Batch of Youth Leadership Summit

In strict observance of pandemic protocols, the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) opened the 5th Batch of Dumingag Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) held at the Dumingag Institute of Sustainable Organic Agriculture (DISOA), Barangay Dapiwak, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur last June 28.

The YLS aims to equip the youth with necessary leadership skills and advocate good citizenship while ensuring an intact sense of identity and wellbeing.The activity was attended by 53IB’s Bravo “Boulders” Company Executive Officer 1Lt Kim Kenneth Beloro, SK Federation President Hon. Leonel Dinawanao, and PO1 James Ageas.

The conduct of Youth Leadership Summits is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
