EMPOWERING THE YOUTH: LGU, 53IB Close 3rd Batch of Dumingag Youth Leadership Summit

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) closed the 3rd Batch of Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) in a simple ceremony held at the Dumingag Institute of Sustainable Organic Agriculture (DISOA), Barangay Dapiwak, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on June 23, 2021.

The YLS aims to equip the youth with necessary leadership skills and advocate good citizenship while ensuring an intact sense of identity and wellbeing.

The activity was attended by 53IB Bravo Company Executive Officer 2Lt Kim Kenneth Beloro, Municipal Administrator Atty. Roxan Ortaleza-Tan in behalf of Mayor Joan Abejuela, SK Federation President Hon. Leonel Dinawanao, HRMO Emily T Geographia and PO1 PNP RMFB 9 James Ageas.

The conduct of Youth Leadership Summits is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
