CONNECTING THE FORCES: 53IB Enhances Signal Operations

Signal communications play a vital role in the conduct of peace operations. The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted a lecture on Signal Communications as part of Small Unit Leadership and Development Training (SULDT) on June 23 at 53IB Headquarters, Camp Major David Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

Discussed by 53IB Signal personnel Corporal Armando Jojo Villanueva were topics on Principles of Responsibility for Communication, Means of Signal Communication, and the Advantages and Disadvantages of said means of communication.

This training forms part of 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
