TRAIN TO WIN | Matapat Troopers Rehearse Immediate Action Drills

As part of its ongoing Sustained Warfighting Enhancement and Evaluation Program (SWEEP), the Charlie “Colossus” Company of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) rehearsed Immediate Action Drills (IAD) in Barangay Gasa, Lakewood on 22 June, 2021.

The troops rehearsed on Formation and Movement Techniques, Battle Drills, and reactions to various combat scenarios auch as Meeting Engagement, Ambush, and Raid. This training will equip the Matapat Troopers with the necessary skills to defeat the enemy and keep the people safe and secured.

Training to win and the conduct of SWEEP is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
