STAYING ALIVE: 53IB Harden Troops’ Life Saving Skills

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted lectures on Combat Life Saving (CLS) module of the Small Unit Leadership and Development Training (SULDT) at 53IB Headquarters, Camp Major David Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur on June 18, 2021.

Lectures involving applications to real life scenarios such as First Aid Treatment of injuries, field treatment, evacuation of sick and wounded and uses of combat lifesaving were taught to the Matapat Troopers.

This training forms part of 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
