LOOK: MATAPAT TROOPERS MORE READY THAN EVER TO SERVE THE PEOPLE

As part of its readiness and preparation routine, the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) now more ready than ever to serve the people it has sworn to protect. Readiness and preparation play a huge role in the success of security operations.

Matapat Troopers practice and simulate their reactions to various scenarios in Immediate Action Drills (IADs) so they are mentally and physically prepared in the field, keeping calm under pressure.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
