CLEANER ENVIRONMENT FOR THE FUTURE | Community, 53IB Unite for Clean Up Drive

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and the community of Sitio Lacnapan in the hinterland barangay of Guibo, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte conducted a clean-up drive last June 9.

Residents of the said sitio and a team of Matapat Troopers from Alpha “Archers” Company led by Sgy Jayson Abara joined hands in cleaning their respective areas.

Clean-up drives, according to United Nations Earth Summit, create immediate results and permanent changes in areas where the drives are conducted.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
