Giving Premium to Health: 53IB Secures COVID-19 Vaccines

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) secures the vaccines for the safe transport of COVID-19 Vaccines from Provincial Department of Health (DOH) in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province to Provincial Health Office (PHO), Zamboanga del Sur on June 9, 2021.

A total of 9,320 vials of Sinovac Vaccine were received by Health Education and Promotion Officer IV and Immunization Coordinator of IPHO Mrs. Dahlia Aseniero.

The said activity was led by 53IB Charlie “Colossus” Company Executive Officer 2Lt. Kim Cedrick Lemus, in partnership with Platoon Leader 2nd PMFC Zamboanga del Sur PLt Renato Obiaden and Administrative Assistant – Department of Health (DOH) Region IX Gerald Gavadan.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
