Elevating Lives: 53IB Brings Better Life Program for CAFGU to Midsalip, ZamboSur
To further elevate the lives of its CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs), the Alpha Company of Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion (53IB) brought its “Better Life: Adopt a CAFGU Project” in Sigapod Patrol Base and gave gave a set of uniform to its personnel on June 5, 2021 in Barangay Sigapod, Midsalip, this province.
“The ‘Better Life: Adopt a CAFGU Project’ is a comprehensive program of providing the necessary assistance, knowledge, and structural pathway for our CAFGU Active Auxiliary personnel for them to achieve personal and professional growth,” 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera said.
“It is our way of expressing our gratitude and recognizing our CAFGU personnel in their dedication to service for helping our Matapat Troopers in maintaining peace and security in the area,” Lt. Col. Herrera added.
53IB Alpha Company Commander 1Lt Janryl Gumalad said “We are giving back to them. We wanted to show CAAs that we are grateful to have them as our primary partners in securing and preventing the re-infiltration of insurgents into communities that have already been cleared.”
The said activity was spearheaded by the Company Commander with his Executive Commander 1Lt Jay Mar Paderes and the Alpha Company Personnel.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
