COMMUNITY SERVICE IN HINTERLANDS | 53IB Engages Remote Community in Guibo, Siayan, ZDN

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted community engagement activities in Barangay Guibo, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte on May 25-27 2021.The Matapat Troopers led by 53IB Alpha “Archers” Company Sgt Jayson Abara in coordination with Timuay Ronnie Sango a flag raising ceremony, barangay assembly, free haircuts, feeding program and parlor games for children, and distribution of leaflets against communist terrorist groups at Sitio Tangil Daku, Barangay Guibo.The Matapat Troopers continuous engagement activities in far-flung communities is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
