CARING FOR CAFGUs: 53IB Conducts Community Service at Tapodok Patrol Base, Labangan, ZDS
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted community service for CAFGU personnel and their dependents at Tapodok Patrol Base, Labangan Junction Zamboanga del Sur on June 1, 2021, as part of 53IB’s “Better Life: Adopt a CAFGU Project.”The Matapat Troopers led by Alpha “Archers” Company Commander 1Lt. Janryl Gumalad and Alpha Company First Sergeant, TSg Julius Obido, conducted visitation to regularly check on the condition of CAFGU personnel. Philarpat Uniforms were also distributed to CAAs at Tapodok Patrol Base.This activity that shows the unit’s care and concern for CAFGU personnel is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap
