COMMUNITY SERVICE | 53IB Participates in Community Pantry Activity in San Miguel, ZDS
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) participated in the Community Pantry Activity of CC-MMM Lending Corporation in Barangay Limonan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur on May 30, 2021.
The Matapat Troopers led by 53IB Charlie “Colossus” Company Executive Officer 2Lt. Kim Cedrick Lemus provided assistance and security to make the activity successful.
They also provided bihon, canned sardines, coffee, soy sauce, vinegar, ocra, balatong, kalabasa, and eggplant.The activity was spearheaded by CC-MMM Lending Corporation CEO Marilou Felicia, Barangay Limonan Captain Demetrio Baterna, and San Miguel Chief of Police P/Maj. Nursibar Mahadi.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
