COMMUNITY SERVICE | 53IB Engages Community in Barangay Saad, Dumingag, ZDS

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted community engagement activities in the hinterlands of Barangay Saad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur May 27, 2021.

The Matapat Troopers led by 53IB Bravo Company composed by Pfc. Jonard Ombing conducted house-to-house visitations in coordination with Purok President Ricky Parangway. The visitations intend to discourage the residents from supporting communist terrorist groups.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
