COMMUNITY SERVICE | 53IB Participates in Community Pantry Activity in San Miguel, ZDS
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) participated in the Community Pantry Activity of CC-MMM Lending Corporation in Barangay Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur on May 23, 2021.
Matapat Troopers led by 53IB Charlie Company Commander 1Lt. Alvin Ibarra provided assistance and security to make the activity successful. They also rendered special numbers in the program to entertain the residents.
The activity was spearheaded by CC-MMM Lending Corporation CEO Marilou Felicia together with Barangay Officials including Edwin Balig and Judith Salaguste, and Kabataan Para sa Pag-asenso (KPSP) youth organization headed by James Gudmalin.
The Matapat Troopers’ participation in the activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
