PUBLIC INFORMATION CAMPAIGN | 53IB, 1st District ZDS Sustain to defeat CPP-NPA Narratives

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and Zamboanga del Sur’s 1st District Representative and Deputy House Speaker Divina Grace Yu enhanced collaboration to sustain information campaign to totally defeat CPP-NPA narratives.

53IB optimizes public Information campaign thru sustained publication and distribution of Breaking Free book to various audiences.The Breaking Free book features narrations of actual accounts of young people’s fateful journeys who were recruited and once deceived by the CPP-NPA but were able to surrender and went back to the folds of the law.

“Showing the support of our good influencer Congresswoman Divina Yu will be a great help to spread the information to communities in preventing recruitments and to stop illegal activities of the CPP-NPA,” 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera said.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to communicate strategically the Army’s transformation to become a world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
