COMMUNITY SERVICE | 53IB Conducts Better Life for CAFGU, Serbisyo Caravan in Siayan, ZDN

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted community services as part of Better Life: Adopt a CAFGU program and Serbisyo Caravan at the Patrol Base in Barangay Datagan, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte on May 26, 2021.

During the activity, the Matapat Troopers led by 53IB Bravo Company Commander Lt. Niel Kim Garcia and F/Sgt TSg. Bienvenido Fernandez provided food packs, free medical check ups, medicines, and haircuts to the beneficiaries of CAAs at Datagan Patrol Base.

The activity was spearheaded by Siayan MayorJosecor Gepolongca together with Datagan Barangay Chairman Pablito Alas, Siayan RHU Nurse Victorino Labastida, Siayan Chief of Police PMaj. Aiko Tesoro.

The Matapat Troopers’ efforts in conducting community service especially in far-flung communities is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
