53IB Sustains Security Visitation Among Remote Patrol Bases

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducts regular visitation and coordination with patrols bases in remote areas in the municipalities of Dumalinao, Tigbao, and Lakewood.

The coordination meetings were held in 53IB Charlie “Colossus” Company Area of Responsibility on May 25, 2021, at Camanga Temporary Patrol Base, Patrol Base, Dumalinao; Upper Nilo Patrol Base, Tigbao; and Temporary Patrol Base Biswangan, Lakewood. Among the topics that were discussed during the coordination meetings include: Distribution of uniforms in 2nd Quarter for Better Life Project; Monitoring of morale and welfare of CAAs; and improvements, issues and concerns of patrol base and personnel.

The meetings were facilitated by 53IB Charlie Company Commander 1Lt. Alvin Ibarra together with Patrol base Commander SSg. Poculan from Delta Company, Pfc.Arnold Lumancag from Alpha Company, SSg. Filnor Butalina from Delta Company, and Sgt Jumawadi from Charlie Company.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
