TRADITIONAL BAYANIHAN IN PHOTOS | Matapat Troopers Unite with Community in Barangay Saad, Dumingag, ZDS

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) participated in the actual traditional bayanihan activity of house lifting in Barangay Saad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on May 22, 2021.

The Matapat Troopers led by Sgt. Glenn Tamula, hand-in-hand with residents led by Barangay Saad Kagawad Rodel Apiag cheerfully raised up a house at Purok 3 to move it farther from the road boundaries to give way for road widening constructions.

The Matapat Troopers’ passion for service is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
