OVERSEEING GOVERNMENT PROJECTS: 53IB Conducts Road Opening Inspection in Midsalip, ZDS
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted inspection on the road opening at Barangay Pisompongan to Barangay of Balonai, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur on on May 7, 2021, as part of the unit’s initiative to monitor the improvements of the Government’s Farm-To-Market Projects.
53IB Alpha “Archers” Company Executive Officer 1Lt. Jaymar Paderes led a team of Matapat Troopers in the said inspection for the road opening project to keep track on the development of the infrastructure construction.
“We were tasked to secure the area where the project is being constructed, monitor improvements, coordinate, and give feedback to what is latest update of the governments farm-to-market- road projects in the far-flung areas in our Area of Operations in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, ” 1Lt. Paderes said.
“Your Army has always been and will always be your eyes, shield and your protector against the anti-government lawless elements who fight only for themselves and their false beliefs. We will make sure to put our time and efforts to secure everyone and even our future generations.
This is our mission, not only for the people, but also for the land and the projects connecting remote communities for peace and progress,” 53IB Commanding Officer Lt Col Jo-ar Herrera said.
