SECURITY UPDATES | 53IB, PNP, LGU Hold Joint MPOC-MADAC Meeting in Dumalinao, ZDS
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Dumalinao Police Station, and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur held the Joint Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) Meeting on April 21, 2021.
Among the topics that were discussed include the following:
– New 53IB Area of Operations (Whole ZDS) plus Siayan, ZDS- Current Communist NPA Terrorist Situation Update- Established SCAA Patrol Bases
– ELCAC Projects- Peacebuilding Efforts and Community Engagements- 53IB Facebook Page, Website, and Breaking Free Book

– Update on Tubo-Pait Road Gravelling

– Anti-Drug Abuse Efforts and Crime Trend from PNP- Municipal POPSP Update by MLGOO
– 53IB’s 1Lt. Cernitchez to lead the Committee on Anti-Insurgency and Violent Extremism
The meeting was led by Dumalinao Mayor Dumalinao Junaflor Cerilles and attended by Vice Mayor Wilfredo Malong Sr, Chief of Police PMaj. Joel Galeriana-COP, MLGOO Maribel Estoquia, and Munincipal Council Members.
