SECURITY UPDATES 53IB, PNP, LGU Hold Joint MPOC-MADAC Meeting in Molave, ZDS

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion attended the Joint Municipal Peace and Order Council Meeting (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur on April 19, 2021.

The meeting, led by Molave Mayor Cyril Reo Glepa, Vice Mayor Monalisa Glepa, Municipal Council Members, MGLOO Sarah Abao, F/Insp Herman Ting, Molave Prosecutor Fiscal Elias Orlando Dagohoy, municipal government officials, and representatives from Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Among the topics that were discussed during the meeting included updates on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) projects and the Army initiatives to counter the recruitment of communist NPA terrorists (CTGs) in the area.
