CARING FOR MUSLIMS: 53IB’s Brigada Masjid Helps in Mosque Renovationin Barangay Mama, Dumalinao, ZDS

The Municipality of Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur, and the Bangsamoro Communities in partnership with the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion’s (53IB) conducted Brigada Masjid to provide assistance in the ongoing renovation of Mosque in Barangay Mama, Dumalinao, ZDS on April 20, 2021.

Masjid is an Arabic word for “mosque.” “The Brigada Masjid intends to assist our Muslim brothers and sisters in cleaning and repairing mosques in their respective areas to prepare for Ramadan season as well as showing them know that the government cares for them,” 53IB Executive Officer Cpt. Bahnarin Camsa said.

547th Engineering “Agila” Battalion (547Ebn) provided assistance for the renovation works.
