53IB, Zamboanga del Sur Grant Emissary Rewards to 9 FRs

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion (53IB) in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur provided P10,000 as a reward for being emissaries to encourage their former CPP-NPA comrades to surrender in a simple program held at Provincial Capitol, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur on March 16, 2021.

ZDS Governor Victor Yu personally handed the cash rewards to the 9 former NPA rebels.

The said program was also attended by representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Developmeny and the Philippine National Police.
