53IB, PNP Upholds Strong Cooperation from Peace, Security in Zamboanga Del Sur

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion (53IB) and the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office (ZSPPO) upheld strong cooperation with the conduct of Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Council (JPSCC) at ZSPPO Headquarters, Camp Major Reginaldo Abelon, Lumbia, Pagadian City on March 17, 2021.

The said meeting tackled the distributions of Covid-19 Vaccines, Harmonization of Data on Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) surrenderees as well as the Threat of Terrorism (Bombing, Kidnapping) awareness, protection against the Special Partisan Unit (SPARU) of the New People’s Army (NPA) and Security updates.

The meeting was spearheaded by Acting Provincial Director PCol. Redentor Retusto, 53IB Commanding Officer Ltc Jo-ar Herrera, 53IB Intelligence Officer, 1Lt Maverick Rey Mira, 53IB Operation Officer, 1Lt Oliver Carmen, OIC Provincial Administration Resource Management Unit (PARMU) PMAJ Ycer Noah Aniversaria, OIC Police Operation Managment Unit (POMU) PMAJ Roger Bartiana, and OIC Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Unit (PIDMU) PMAJ Andrew Limod.
