53IB Conducts Community Engagement in Barangay Dapiwak, Dumingag, ZDS

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion (53IB) Charlie Company conducted community engagement activities in Barangay Dapiwak, Dumingag town, Zamboanga del Sur on March 12-15, 2021.In the three-day community engagement, the Matapat Troopers conducted house-to-house visitation to get more acquainted with the residents, film showing at the Barangay Hall with distributed snacks for children, Sunday Mass with residents, Cleanliness drive with students at Dapiwak Elementary School, and loudspeaker operations. They also distributed leaflets to disseminate awareness against CPP-NPA recruitment.53IB Charlie Platoon Leader, 2Lt. Magno Relado Jr. coordinated with Dapiwak Barangay Captain Jerson Cabahug for the said activities.
