53IB Opens Squad SWEEP Training for Matapat Troopers

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion (53IB) opened Squad Sustained Warfighting Evaluation and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) at 53IB Headquarters, Camp Major Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur on February 8, 2021.

The Squad SWEEP intends to hone the individual and combat skills of the squad alongside the conduct of rigorous and relentless combat operations and other mandated tasks by higher headquarters.

One of the objectives of the said training is to develop a realistic unit training that will fit to operational environment.
