Partners in Nation Building: 53rd IB, YLS Alumni worked hand-in-hand in Brigada Eskwela 2020

A team composed of Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB), Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) Alumni of Zamboanga del Sur, and the faculty members of Bagong Oroquieta Elementary School worked hand-in-hand in the conduct of Brigada Eskwela on November 19, 2020.

Brigada Eskwela’s theme this year “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Kabataan” successfully brought together various collaborators of different public schools covering 53rd IB’s area of operations.

The said activity aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and resources to keep the public schools surroundings well-maintained.

Team worked in repainting the classrooms and cleaning the school’s surroundings with the use of grass cutter and other cleaning materials.

The youth leaders, teachers, and Matapat troopers, ensured that the school maintained cleanliness even amid COVID-19 pandemic.
