Another Former Rebel (FR) who surrendered to Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) received benefits under the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) on October 23, 2020 held in DILG Provincial Office, Provincial Government Center, Pagadian City.
The benefits amounted to a total of Php 65,000 consisting of Php 50,000 Livelihood assistance and Php 15,000 immediate cash assistance.
The success of the program was made possible with the help of Provincial Department of Local Interior and Government (DILG) and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), who also had a session and orientation with the FR before the said pay-out.
Every distribution of E-CLIP assistance, it is necessary that sessions be done to educate the FRs on how they will manage to use the financial assistance intended for their development.
The program aims to encourage Rebels, those still in the hinterlands to restore their allegiance with the government and to avail this E-CLIP and other government programs and initiatives.
E-CLIP is just one of the government programs intended for the reintegration of FRs to mainstream society.
