Former Rebels receive E-CLIP assistance from Gov’t
Three more Former Rebels (FRs) who surrendered to Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) received benefits under the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) on October 16, 2020 at the Provincial Governor’s Office, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.



The benefits amounted to a total of Php 195,000 consisting of Php 50,000 Livelihood assistance and Php 15,000 immediate cash assistance for each FR.
The activity was graced by Zamboanga del Sur PTF-ELCAC Chairperson Gov. Victor J. Yu and was facilitated by the Provincial Department of Local Interior and Government (DILG) and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
In a statement, Gov. Yu said this is a great help to the FRs and encouraged those still in the hinterlands to avail of this E-CLIP and other government programs and initiatives.
The said FRs also had a session with the PSWDO as to how they will use the assistance.
The Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur also gives immediate cash assistance of Php 20,000 to new surrenderees.
