LGU, Army, government agencies participate in CSP Summing Up
The Municipal Government of Siayan, the 53rd Infantry (MATAPAT) Battalion, and other government agencies through the Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) participated in the 3rd Community Support Program (CSP) Summing Up Friday, October 02, 2020 held at Siayan Municipal Hall, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte province.



The CSP Summing Up are for Barangays Pange and Macasing – barangays known to be safe havens of Communist-NPA terrorists in Siayan town.
During the activity, 53rd IB Operations Officer 1Lt. Oliver B. Carmen and CSP Team Leaders 1Lt. Alvin Ibarra and SSg Eddiemhar Omar presented the updates on the conduct of CSP in Barangays Pange and Macasing, including the Politico-Military (PolMil) structures of the barangays, and their identified issues and concerns.
In his message, Siayan mayor and MTF-ELCAC chairperson Hon. Josecor Gepolongca thanked the Army for their dedication to conduct the said CSP to eliminate communist-terrorist influence in the town.
“I thank the 53rd IB for their selfless service and dedication to duty to completely eradicate the communist terrorism in our town,” said Mayor Gepolongca.
“The Municipal Task Force ELCAC will remain steadfast in addressing the root cause of communist terrorism and insurgency in our town,” added Mayor Gepolongca.
Also tackled in the 3rd CSP Summing Up was the conduct of Handog Serbisyo Caravan scheduled on October 7 through 9, 2020 which will be participated by the LGU, Army, and various government agencies.
