Best Weapon: A well-trained and well-motivated soldier

A new batch of Small Unit Leadership Training (SULT) Class 01-2020 was opened yesterday August 23, 2020 held at the Bayanihan Hall, Headquarters, 53rd IB, Camp Sabido, Guipos, ZDS.

This is the 8th Batch composing of one (1) Squad from Charlie (COLOSSUS) Company led by its Executive Officer 2Lt. John Peter Paul Gaquing.

The said squad will be trained on how to handle a small unit team, which will help them develop their skills, ability, stamina, mental strength, camaraderie, and friendship. This will further prepare them for whatever circumstances they may face during combat operations.

The Opening Ceremony was presided by 53rd IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera.

In his message, Lt. Col. Herrera reiterated the importance of training and how this significantly affects the conduct of military operations.

“Always put your training in your minds and hearts and never take it for granted. Always remember that the best weapon against the enemy is a well-trained and well-motivated soldier,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.

The training will go on for a week to prepare the team for their next mission.
