53rd IB maximizes information dissemination, encourages NPAs in hinterlands to avail gov’t programs, initiatives
The 53rd Infantry (MATAPAT) Battalion continues to conduct information dissemination activities to encourage NPA terrorists still in the hinterlands to abandon the armed struggle, return to the folds of the law, and avail the programs and initiatives of the government, especially the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).






The information dissemination activities include the conduct of intensified leaflet distribution, loudspeaker operations, and emplacement of tarpaulins.
These activities are also incorporated in the unit’s conduct of community engagement in the far-flung barangays in the unit’s area of responsibility (AOR).
NPAs who will surrender will be able to avail the E-CLIP immediate cash assistance and livelihood assistance totalling 65,000 pesos.
They will also be able to receive firearms remuneration, an assistance they will receive aside from the livelihood and immediate cash assistance mentioned.
