Residents in Remote Community participate in Flag Raising Ceremony, reaffirm their patriotism and love of country

Residens in a far-flung purok in Sitio Dumalian, Barangay Lourdes, Pagadian City, ZDS participated in a flag-raising ceremony incorporated in the unit’s conduct of Community Engagement.

The community engagement team was led by 2Lt. Jay Mar Paderes, a Platoon Leader in Alpha Company of this unit.

The engagement lasted for about two weeks, with the intention to awaken the patriotism and nationalism of the residents in the said purok.

The said flag raising ceremony is the conclusion of a series of activities incorporated in the unit’s conduct of Community Engagement.

Prior to the Flag Raising Ceremony, the Community Engagement team also initiated parlor games and played with the children, distributed toys and candies, transistor radios to deliver to them timely and accurate information, and information leaflets on how to mitigate the effects of COVID-19, and leaflets about the E-CLIP program of the government.
