53rd IB ensures security posture, inspects patrol bases in Tigbao town

As part of the Army’s mandate to ensure the security and safety of the public, 53rd IB Commander Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera together with unit Sergeant Major TSgt Vicente Mayo and unit Operations Officer 1st Lt. Oliver Carmen visited and inspected the readiness of New Tuburan Patrol Base (PB) and Libayoy PB yesterday 14 June in Tigbao town, this province.

The readiness inspection is to ensure that the personnel of the PBs can protect the residents of Barangays New Tuburan and Libayoy in Tigbao town against the threats possible to be perpetrated by Communist-NPA Terrorists.

During the inspection, Technical Sergeant Mayo ensured that the firearms of the Detachment Commander and his CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) are in good condition whenever the need arises.

As the senior Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of this unit, he also provided insights to his fellow NCO and the CAAs.

53rd IB Commander Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera also talked to the men, gave his guidance, and inspired them to do their mandated duties very well.
