We support the Anti-Terrorism Bill
The Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020, which was passed by the House of Representatives on June 3, Wednesday, targets terrorists and those who support them. Never was it stated that it will suppress freedom of any kind, and never was it stated that the act, when enacted into a law, will be used against legitimate protests.
It does not cover voices of dissent, as many organizations claim – organizations who only want to sow disinformation among the public.
We support the Anti-Terrorism Bill because the Constitution mandates us to ‘protect the people and the state.’
It will be used against terrorists, those who plot to commit atrocities, inflict casualty and death, and those who support them.
